The 21-year-old Muslim woman, who was four months pregnant, was physically attacked by two men. The attackers first tried taking her headscarf off and later cut off her hair and tore part of her clothing. After she screamed out that she was pregnant, one of the attackers started kicking her in the stomach.
But Europe is so tolerant, though.
Absolutely disgusting.
Wow, if you really think that Europe is that tolerant, then I advise you take a walk in a Parisian suburb like Argenteuil where this story took place. France has a huge problem with Islamophobia that is really sickening, and it’s obvious in these predominantly Maghrebi areas of the capital. France is home to thousands of immigrants, and Paris is the city outside of Africa with the most Africans, yet these people are not accepted and live in poverty. Sure, they’re provided for much better by the French government than they would be in most other places (they get healthcare, apartments, etc.), but they live in poor, crime-infested neighborhoods. My mom was born in Saint Denis, lived in Bobigny for half of her life, her dad still lives there, and my grandma now lives in Pantin, all suburban towns of Paris in the poorest department of France, Seine-Saint-Denis (93). Every time that I go back there, I witness it all first hand. If I just decide to go down to the corner when I’m there just to buy some bread or something, I get looks for being white just the same way a white person in America would get looks stepping into a predominantly black inner city. In fact, that’s probably the best analogy. A French suburb, or banlieue,is the equivalent of an American inner city. This story is disgusting, and it just goes to show that racism really is ubiquitous and is still a huge problem, and I hope that the attitude in France changes very soon because, quite frankly, it pisses me the fuck off. Integration is a two way street, and the Front National and other right-wing nutjobs that make the rest of the French look like huge piles of shit are really getting to me. Two of my uncles in law are Algerian immigrants in Paris, and all of my cousins are therefore half Arab, and they’re all Muslim, but they’re still normal people living their lives, working jobs, going to school, contributing to society. They’re not the problem; the racist attitudes (from both sides, mind you) are.
I thought all French people ARE huge piles of shit…

Anyway, I’m finished with the This Is The End spam. If you’re too sensitive to crude humor, don’t watch it. It’s a great mix of all types of humors, which is why I was able to sit through it all.
